About Tracy Busby
I grew up in the remote town of Park Falls, Wisconsin. The nearest thing that you could really call a mall was about two hours away, so "school shopping" was a once a year event, and it came with getting to "eat out" at some place cool such as McDonald's or Hardee's. You know--someplace that you saw on TV. The rest of the year, we ordered our clothes out of Montgomery Ward or Sears. And we had to wait six to eight weeks for delivery. There was none of this two-day shipping nonsense. After graduating from high school, I moved to New York to be a nanny and I absolutely loved it. I loved everything about it. Nevertheless, life brought me back to the midwest where I remained a nanny until I was married. My husband and I started out in Madison, but after having our first child, we moved to the Milwaukee area where we stayed to raise our two amazing children. After 21 years of marriage, we parted ways and I moved back to the sticks of Park Falls. Being unsure about that decision, I had plans to undo it, but in the meantime, Ed and I started to get to know each other...and we liked it. In fact, we realized we didn't want to live without each other and wondered how we'd done it thus far. We married and are in Park Falls to this day, but there's no telling where life will take us at this point. I have published two books of poetry and a (non)memoir, and I also have a blog at https://whythehellnottour.com. I very much enjoy doing photography, although I'm quite an amateur as of yet. I'm learning. I love doing art, but I'm no Monet. I'm just me. I just play with mediums and see what happens. I do it for me. Which is why I use my non-dominant hand. That way I don't focus on trying to make it perfect or as good as anyone else's. I just do it because I enjoy it. I'm a firm believer that if we are living a life of consistently wondering what would've happened if we would've..., then we need to re-evaluate why the hell we're getting up every morning. We need to make peace with where we are, or do something.
